Indiana’s Family Social Service Administration (FSSA) recently launched a new website, ChildCareFinder.IN.gov, which provides an easy search of licensed centers and homes, registered ministries, and other child care providers in Indiana. Child Care Finder allows families to search for providers by location, type of provider, hours, licensing status and whether or not the provider participates in Paths to Quality, Indiana’s voluntary quality rating and improvement system.
The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration Office of Early Childhood and Out of School Learning (OECOSL) announces the recipients of new 2-year Early Education Matching Grants. A total of $3.3 million will be awarded to organizations who raised more than $4.8 million in matching funds for both 2016 and 2017 school years. A total of 20 groups from 18 different counties will receive grant funding to provide quality pre-kindergarten education for 4-year olds from low-income families across the state.
