The Child Development and Well-Being Workgroup coordinates and develops initiatives ensuring that children will have what they need for optimal development across all domains and across the birth to 3rd grade continuum.

Indiana has well defined child outcomes that are the basis for program level quality assurance and quality improvement activities. Indiana has a common definition of kindergarten readiness. Indiana can demonstrate more positive child level outcomes including increased kindergarten readiness and third grade reading levels.
